About and privacy

The geo-registry is a public list of geographic data sources, GIS tools, the operations analysts run, and how each engine runs them. It tells you what exists and where to get it. It does not host the data or run anything.

How far to trust an entry

Every entry shows a review badge. Only entries marked “Reviewed by a person” have been checked by someone. The others are leads, drafts or harvested from an engine, and may be out of date. Help fix them.

Licences

• Registry entries and the generated JSON: CC0-1.0.
• Site, skill and connector code: Apache-2.0.
• Fonts: IBM Plex, SIL Open Font License. Icons: Lucide, ISC.
• The data itself belongs to its publishers and their terms apply. Check each publisher's terms before you rely on an entry's licence field.

Privacy

This site counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and collects no personal data. Ad blockers can block it, so the counts are a floor.

The site has no accounts, and no form posts anywhere except GitHub.

This project is not affiliated with any publisher or vendor it lists. Its source is on GitHub.
